Trying to Under(inner)stand the Universe

I recently read an article on geoengineering that said the following: "Geoengineering, also called climate engineering or climate intervention". That is, man tinkering/ experimenting, with...the CLIMATE! "The word geoengineering suggests a technology on a planetary scale. But some researchers have also looked at the possibility of conducting it in a localised way". Well, but weren't there supposedly already enough climate changes caused by greenhouse gases damaging the climate? Well then, I looked and after all geoengineering intends to use technology to reverse these effects, but then I read in several articles that this is dangerous and UNREVISIBLE! Eu recentemente li um artigo sobre geoengenharia que dizia o seguinte: "Geoengenharia, também chamada de engenharia climática ou intervenção climática". Isto é, o homem andar a mexer/fazer experimentos, com...o CLIMA! "A palavra geoengenharia sugere uma tecnologia em escala planetária.   What I have heard most often, from the mouths of the people around me, is a certain hopelessness, an acceptance that things are as they are, horrible and bad and terrible, and that it has always been this way, it will always be this way and there is nothing to be done.  This only reiterates and leads to the fact that it really, really is so. Mystical, esoteric, spiritual, religious and other such communities are full of set phrases with hidden and mysterious meanings. Some seem very profound and mystical even. Many of these phrases and mantras, seem strange to us, they seem to be complete illusions or baloney, and most probably are. Something that I have noticed, more and more, is that when we reduce complex knowledge into small set phrases, the real meaning is totally distorted, and lessons that need to be learned in order to achieve the well-being we seek, are totally lost, possibly forever.
